The Boise club was created in 2000 to encourage and promote the breeding of purebred Australian Shepherds, to improve the knowledge of the breed and its history, to protect and advance sportsmanship in competition at all shows and trials, and to encourage new owners to participate in the breed.
BASC is a small club and we currently host conformation shows two to three times a year. We strive to host our shows for all skill levels from beginner to professional. There is something for everyone.
Our June shows have the distinction of having senior breeder judges only, a raffle that seems to grow by the year, food, drinks, wonderful guests, and who knows what else we will add.
BASC would like to extend an invitation to new aussie owners to come show your Aussie in puppies, Altered, or Intact shows. There are plenty of friendly people willing to help you begin. For those breeders already showing that have not been to one of our shows please do come and make some new friends. And to those who have been to our shows we would love to welcome you back. It is always wonderful to see old friends and get a chance to visit and compete against wonderful dogs and owners.
Our club is located just west of Boise in the valley south of Caldwell. Our shows are held indoors and we have electricity for those of you who wish to use your dryer. There are spots for campers for those wishing to stay on site and great hotels not too far away.
